Most ear wires are made out of copper or sterling sliver. Sterling is 92.5% silver. There is no lead or nickel in the wires. Some are silver plate, which will be notated in the information about the piece.  I do have surgical steal, gold plated, and solid gold ear wires available by special request. Solid gold ear wires are available at a premium price, which depends on the market price of gold.
